LV= Broker is improving its ABC Home buildings and contents product.
Under its ABC contents product, the insurer is offering increased enhancements for customers who take out contents cover over the £75,000 threshold.
LV= Broker has also increased the Single Article Limit within both contents (for valuables) and personal possessions (away from the home) to £3,000 and increased the following benefits:
- Title deeds cover up to £1,000;
- Plants in the garden cover up to £1,000;
- Freezer cover up to the contents sum insured;
- Theft from outbuildings cover up to £5,000;
- Business equipment cover up to £10,000.
LV= Broker is also improving its Standard ABC Home and increased its title deeds cover to £1,000, and extended loss and theft of keys cover to £1,000 on both buildings and contents. It has also introduced new cover for visitors’ effects of up to £1,000.
In addition, alternative accommodation cover has increased to £50,000 on buildings and £25,000 on contents where in the event of a claim, the property is uninhabitable.
LV= Broker’s ABC Home product offers flexibility on contents and buildings cover so that brokers can meet the specific needs of customers. For example, customers can insure a single item away from the home rather than having to insure multiple items under the personal possessions cover.
Further product benefits across the ABC home policy include:
- £1 million cover for buildings as standard.
- Solar panels and wind turbines designed to help home owners become energy efficient covered as standard within the buildings section.
- The flexibility to choose the amount of contents cover – from £15,000 to £150,000.
- Cover for the family’s contents whilst at university (in student accommodation or any building) up to £5,000.
- Access to free helpline manned by trained professionals offering advice in the event of a home-related emergency. The operators can also arrange emergency assistance and repair works if required.
