Towergate Health & Protection appoints new head of operational excellence

Beth Alahakoon has joined Towergate Health & Protection as its new head of operational excellence.

The firm says Alahakoon will lead the delivery of operational excellence across health & protection, ensuring the colleague and client voice is listened to, and maintaining a balance between efficiency, optimum business outcomes and regulatory standards.

Working closely with Manjula Gowda, head of change, and stakeholders across the business, Alahakoon will drive, facilitate, integrate and embed business change.

Alahakoon (pictured) has over 15 years’ experience in the employee benefits industry. She joins from Mercer Marsh Benefits, where, as operations manager, she was responsible for leading the team to design processes to deliver on colleague and customer service.

Claire Parrott, director of client services and operations at Towergate Health & Protection said: “As part of our mission to deliver an effortless client experience, we’re passionate about embracing opportunities that drive our business forwards whilst enhancing our colleague and client experience.

“To this end, we welcome Beth and the experience and enthusiasm she will undoubtedly bring to the role.”

Alahakoon added: “I am joining the team at Towergate Health & Protection during exciting times. The company has seen recent growth with investment in new roles like my own, along with Kate Kilpatrick being appointed as head of marketing, and Andy Samuel as chief technology officer.

“For my part, I will be looking to identify key areas where operational excellence can contribute to strategic goals by improving the client experience, the colleague journey, and our technological capabilities.”
